Priority Services Register

The Priority Services Registers (PSR) is a free service provided by suppliers and network operators to customers in need. It offers assistance with your energy supply.

Who is eligible?

You could be able to access this service if you:

  • are disabled or have a long-term health condition
  • are recovering from an injury
  • have mental health problems
  • don’t speak or read English well
  • have children under 5 or are pregnant
  • have reached your state pension age

If your situation isn’t listed you might still be able to sign up for priority services. Always check with your energy supplier or network operator.

What can I receive?

After you have registered with the PSR, you can expect to receive the following additional support:

  • Emergency assistance during any disruptions to supply
  • Talking Bill Service
  • Nominee Service
  • Large Print Bills
  • Meter read home visits
  • Password protection

Support will vary between energy suppliers and network operators.
In Portsmouth you can apply for this service from Portsmouth Water, Southern Water and SSEN (local network operator). You should be able to apply separately with your energy supplier.
