Local Authority Delivery Scheme

The Local Authority Delivery Scheme was introduced by the UK Government with the aim of raising the energy efficiency of low-income and low EPC rated homes.

It was brought in to deliver progress towards reducing fuel poverty and the UK’s commitment to meeting net zero by 2050.

This is an £800 million scheme, which is distributed by Local Authorities.


Am I eligible?

This funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis to households with:

  • A combined annual gross income below £30,000
  • An EPC rating of D, E, F or G

How much can I receive?

Homeowners, private tenants and landlords can access varied amounts

  • Homeowners – up to £10,000
  • Private tenants – your landlord will need to make a contribution. Up to £5,000 available
  • Landlords – 2/3rds with a max grant of £5,000

Portsmouth City Council secured £9.4 million on behalf of a consortium of 18 other partner councils, and act as the grant recipient.
